We protect you against fake profiles, harassment and scams throughout the app. Here is how.
In the app
Features that protect you.
Selfie verification
Take a selfie in the pose the app asks for; our team compares it with your profile photos. Verified profiles show a blue badge.
Content pre-check
Photos, profile texts and suspicious messages are checked automatically before they go live; anything inappropriate goes to our team.
Nudges in chat
Before a hurtful message is sent we ask the writer “Are you sure?”; the receiver can report it in one tap. Suspicious messages asking for money, bank details or crypto go to review.
Report and block
One tap from any profile or chat. People you block can never see you again; our team reviews every report.
Share your date
Send a friend a link with the place, time and who you are meeting. Your friend does not need the app.
Approximate location
Distance is worked out and shown to about 1 km; your exact location is never shared.
Ship consent
You decide whether people can ship you; turn it off and you never appear in Ship mode.
Adults only
MatchIt+ is for people aged 18 and over. Underage accounts are closed.

- Be yourselfYour real name, age and your own photos. No profiles for someone else.
- Be respectfulNo insults, harassment, hate speech or pestering.
- Consent mattersNo explicit content or messages unless the other person wants them.
- Never ask for moneyRequests for money, gift cards, crypto or investments are scams; report them right away.
- No ads or spamThe app is for meeting people, not for promoting products, services or accounts.
- Meet safelyMeet in busy public places at first and let a friend know.
